The 34-meters cross is one of the most recognizable symbols of Apriltsi and an impressive landmark that can be seen from almost every point of the city. The monument was erected in 2006 on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the April Uprising and 30 years since Apriltsi was declared a city. The huge metal structure rises above the beautiful slopes of the Stara Planina Mountains and is beautifully illuminated in the evening.
